I received this trapper as a graduation gift (several years ago) from family friends. At the time I had a few Schrade knives that I bought in the 80's, and always had one of them in my pocket. This was my first Case and I put it up, partly because it was bigger then what I was carrying and because of who I received it from.
Well fast forward to this last week. I was going thru some knives I had put up and I pulled it out. As I was looking it over I noticed the two pins toward the ends were not flush with the handle, I thought maybe they had pushed out the back side, but nope, they are flush on the backside.
It has 1991 on the blade. I only have one other Case folder, and it's fine. It just surprised me to find the pins like that. I know a lot of people collect their knives. I'm guessing it is just cosmetic, but it makes me wonder if I carried it if that handle side would be prone to come off.
Any body else had short pins in their Case's and had any trouble out of them?
