Went to the city today and came home with this:

Case (full size) 3254CV Trapper. This is a great knife - no blade play when open, centered in the liners when closed, backsprings flush opened & closed, both blades have equal pull & snap, and the edge grinds were the best I've seen from Case - even and shaving sharp out of the box! No half stops, which is a plus for me. It's a beautiful knife and feels great in the hand, and carries well vertically in my right front pocket next to my wallet. I didn't know I needed this knife, but after handling it I couldn't go home without it. ;)

Buying over the 'net sure is handy ..... click, click, click ..... a few days later the mailman puts a package in the mailbox. Walking into a bricks & mortar store, being able to handle the knives and walking out with the knife you picked is best! :D

Congrats! There's a reason why that's Case's best selling pattern. Stout knife and a reliable companion.

I have a Case Trapper with Amber bone scales that I had the spey blade removed and it is great. It is great I always have it with me and use it often.

Can't stand 'em. They're terrible. I have several of them. ;) :D

Case is making some amazing stuff these days. They're one of the few brands that I'd buy on the internet, although going to one of the local gun/knife shops and personally choosing one is an experience you just can't get anywhere else.

thx - cpr

Agreed. As a matter of fact, my yella CV trapper was the knife I selected to tote while I was getting dressed this morning. Those cv blades take a ludicrous edge.

Very nice. Case quality is top-notch these days. This Trapper is the knife I carry more than any of my other slipjoint knives along with the Case Trapper Sheath I carry it in sometimes. The sheath is well made. When not carrying it in the sheath, I carry it in my right front pocket laying along the bottom seam of the pocket.

I like the Trapper so much with the Yellow Derlin handles that I have two (NIB) besides this one in case (God forbid) I lose it.

You made a good choice coyote711. That CV blade sharpens up nicely.

Oh, you can get that sheath from SMKW. Not shilling for them -- just saying where I got mine. Their product number for it is CA980.
