My trapper 6254cv came in today and I am pretty impressed arrived nice and sharp, whit a great snap to the blades. I think that it will last for a while. Sorry but I can't post pictures I don't have a computer.

You're pretty good, posting to an internet discussion forum without a computer. ;)

The trapper for case is like the 110 for buck. Everybody has or had one. I wish case would come out with 3 7/8 inch version.

To me, the Trapper is just a tad long for pocket carry. I much prefer the Mini Trapper at 3 1/2 inches, and still keep the Trapper blade configuration. Really wanting one with the CV steel.

Schrade made the perfect sized trapper in my opinion.

A little smaller and slimmer than the case full size and bigger than case's mini trapper.

I have a number of them, enough to keep me in yellow trappers for the rest of my days.

Great knife for general use. It's my favorite traditional pattern and it seems to be the pattern I buy first when checking out a new line of knives I'm not familiar with.

Excellent choice. I have a few Case traditionals and if I could only keep one, it would be the cv trapper. Take care of it and it will take care of you.

I love my case yellow trapper, it's the main clip blade I think, just so thin and sharp, the handle is shaped just right as well, the only reasons I don't carry it more is because I don't care for the long Spey blade or the weight in my pocket.

Agreed. Wish case would replace that Spey blade with a wharncliff blade. My guess would be that it sell sell very well.

Yes, full size case trapper in CV with a clip and wharncliffe blade would be about perfect, maybe make it a little shorter as well, say around 3 7/8, but even at current length still close to perfect.

They have made and currently have a Case Trapper with a Wharncliffe and Clip, the 6254W. Right now the one being sold is the Shot Show special edition. Back in 07-08 I think they made a number of Wharncliffe Trappers in multiple colors. If you shop around you can still find some.

None of them were in CV steel as far as I know.

I have the Yellow Case CV trapper. It's been my EDC for about 20 years now. I carry it in my back pocket next to my wallet. It's easily accessible and I hardly know it's there. I am a big fan of 2 bladed pocket knives. I use mine often at work. If one blade gets dull, I have the other until I get home to resharpen it

If Case would make a Wharncliffe Trapper in CV, I'd be all over it.

I have owned a slough of big Case Trappers over the years. I have one now.

I don't carry it a lot because I like my old Schrade Trappers better. They are a tad more pocketable.

Similar to a Furtaker Trapper by GEC (sorta, but a bit different), yeah I too think they could sell a few, but they've done the warnie Trapper in Damascus and stag, probably quite a few others I haven't noticed, but I think they need to offer it in more simplistic handle materials, like Delrin, and Red, and Amber bone. Of course CV, would make it an attractive option for the enthusiast versus the collector.

Pocket weight. I hate it when pockets pull out when I'm getting some change out of my pocket.

Case made runs of Wharncliffe Trappers for three different years in the 2000's. 2005,2006 and 2007 I think. Full Size Trapper, Mini Trapper and Tiny Trapper with Clip Main and Wharncliffe Secondary. Each in 5 different jigged bone colors. 15 knives in a full set, but sold as open stock. They continue to release the odd wharncliffe mini trapper now and then. I know of at least two in current production.
