Hey STR... just wondering if you wouldn't mind refurbishing an old case trapper that my grandfather gave to me... It looks to be a dark amber bone model with 2 blades... The blades have patina and are discolored... and the bolsters and metal are a bit worn, along with the blades being very dull... It is at least 15 years old.. Is there any way you could fix it up and maybe even the action of the knife too....

I look forward to hearing from you...
Thanks in advance,
Matt B.

Well Matt I appreciate the offer. I am so inundated most times with the modern one hand opening locking folders which I prefer that I quit working on slip joints and fixed blades altogether. However I do have some friends that work on those and prefer them and we tend to share contacts with customers when we are approached by someone with something like this so I'd suggest contacting my friend Kaleb or my friend Bob.

You can reach Bob here Please be sure to replace the word 'at' in the pasted emails below with the @ sign before sending and you are good to go.

Thanks for asking and good luck.

Or Kaleb here. Either one will do you right on the knife you have.
