I've been interested in starting to carry something a little more traditional for my EDC. Right now I rotate mostly between my Al Mar SERE 2000 and my Griptilian. When I like to travel a little lighter, or just switch things up a little bit I will carry my Opinel 8 or a SAK which I always seem to mis place and then find again a month later.

I like my more traditional knives, but I'm really spoiled on one handed knives. I just came across the Case Trapperlock. The reviews I have seen on youtube seem to focus more on their collector value, but not really their utility as an EDC knife. I wanted to get some feedback from those who have EDC'd one of these for any length of time and what your thoughts were on it. Are there any other one-handed, but more traditional knives that you would recommend over the Case?

my friend use every day GEC knife and he's very happy for this choice. if the price is not a problem you contact a maker and have your traditional with your favorite still and favorite handle material.

I have carried a Trapperlock for several years. I have used it for lots of everyday task, from field dressing large and small game, to more mundane task. It works great for almost everything I ask of it, except carving. I love the way it locks, but looks very traditional.
