Maybe it's not a fair comparison, one is a standard two blade trapper, the other a single blade model. But they are what I have and I think the differences are interesting. Maybe others might think so also, so I'd like to share some picture and point out some differences that I've noted.

I bought the yellow handled CV Lg Trapper new in 2008, the single blade, bone handled SS trapper I bought used maybe a year later at a store in Austin, TX.

The obvious:

1 blade vs 2 blades
Bone vs delrin
No shield vs typical Case oval shield.
SS vs CV

But its the things I really didn't think about until I put the two knives together that this thread is about.

1. First off the pins. The older knife has four small steel pins in the scales. The other has three larger brass pins.

2. The bolsters. The older knife's front bolsters are rounder, and not pinched. The yellow knife has slightly pinched, more square front bolsters. Also all four of the bone knife's bolsters are thicker.

3. The blades. The two bladed trapper has no swedges, where the single bladed knife has deep, even swedging. The nail nicks are in completely different places also. I will say the two clip blades seem to be identical shape and thickness.

4 Dementions. The two knives are certainly the same frame, same length. The three back springs, between the two knives are all the same. But when laid flat on a table both trappers appear to be the same width. The single bladed knife has much thicker scales and slightly thicker bolsters. The brass liners seem to be the same thickness.

It has occurred to me that the older of the two may have been re-scaled, and that could explain a lot of the differences. I use and enjoy both knives.
