Hey everyone, I hope I'm posting in the spot, but I recently purchased this Case at a flea market for $65 and the seller couldn't really tell me much about the scrimshaw on the handle. I've tried looking up the name but can't find anything, so I was wondering if anyone knew anything about it or have seen something similar. Thanks everyone!

Howdy and welcome. Judging by the pins on the knife and the time it probably took, it appears to be a customization by an artist or knife modifier and is probably a one of a kind sort of thing. Case currently does some "scrimshaw", but is usually done by laser etching instead of by hand like what it looks like you have there. Really like that knife, what a cool find!

That's gorgeous, and I'm envious.

Having said that, I don't know any details of the artwork or the artist. I'm partial to designs like that; looks like a Kestrel in the artwork, and I've always been fascinated by those and other raptors. The tang stamp indicates the knife itself is a 1978-vintage from Case.
