I found this little beauty in a thrift shop, hidden in a bucket of knives. I picked it up for 50 cents, a ridiculously low price. The blade looks like it has never been used, but someone put it into a damp drawer and let it tarnish. So now I gotta clean it up a bit and restore it to beauty ^_^ I've heard a little about these camp knives from Case, but can anyone enlighten me a bit more? And any tips on cleaning a bit of the rust for an even patina? All in all, the tarnish isn't really even that bad. And I can post pics if u'd like.

I really like my Miracle Cloth for cleaning up tarnished carbon steel, brass .... anything really. They're dirt cheap, clean and easy to use, and last a long time.

I think I speak for all us folksy knife knuts when I say, yeah, we'd love to see pics.

Chasing the Case kitchen/camp knives can be a different kind of hunt altogether. I nearly got sucked into it when I bought this Case XX carver. Ground like a 12 inch straight razor this one almost got me started down that trail.

But if I could just find one of these....

If you tell me how to post pics of it, I will ^_^ How much are these things worth by the way? To valuable to use?
