Case XX and dot numbers

Hi folks,

can anyone tell me what´s the secret behind the dot numbers at case folders???

They seem to vary from 4 up to 10.

I guess it´s concerning the quality of the knife, right???

If so, can the same model e.g. a sharktooth or a sunfish be purchased in different quality levels?

Do all Case knives have those dots???

Give this a look, it goes over everything fairly well, the dots and x's have to do with the date.

dots have nothing to do with quality, it has tyo do with the year manufactured
