Case XX Muskrat SS 1991 Bradford PA - Needing info in regards to the file work done on blades.

Just maybe the name of the person that done the filing. We took the knife to an appraiser & they said the filing wasn't done by Case. They said it could've been someone by the name of J. Woods, but when we researched it, we couldn't find anything. So, if you have any info on this knife, it would really help.

I'd try posting in the Bernard Levine Forums or ask a mod to move the thread.

File work can be done by anyone with some files. Unless there's some distinguishing mark, you might never find out who did it.

pretty much this.

Many, many knife makers or repairers can do file-work so it may well be impossible to identify the artist.

Is that a crack in the stag around the centre-pin? If it is, your appraiser should've told you it will knock the value, I'm afraid.
