I am going to put this up here to see if there is any interest before I send it off to Fleabay.
Up for grabs is a Case XX P172 Buffalo clasp knife with original walnut presentation box made between 1974-1979. This thing is gorgeous with a mirror polished blade and pakkawood handles. The knife measures 5 1/2" closed and is in as new condition. There is a tiny spot on the blade above "Case XX". I have seen these same spots on other Buffaloes from this era and it looks to be in the finish. The wooden presentation box is in good condition with a few light scratches from being in a drawer for 30+ years. The red felt on the inside has some minor discoloration but is still in very nice condition. This knife has never been used, carried or sharpened. It is pristine except for the one spot on the blade that I have described.
The tang is stamped CASE XX over P172 on the front and HAND MADE USA on the back. I can see NO DOTS as you can see in the photo. Thanks for looking. You won't be disappointed.
