Case XX Storage?

I have a small but growing Case collection. I think I read somewhere that chrome vanadium blades should be stored with a thin film of oil on to preserve them? Can anyone verify this? Also should the stainless steel blades be treated similarly? What kind of oil should be used? Any Case fans out there help?

The CV blades are usually ok if you just wipe them off after handling. Putting a bit of oil (I use break-free) would be a help as well.

The stainless blades probably dont need it, but it sure wont hurt anything.

CV blades ARE NOT rust resistant and should have some sort of preservative. SS is not always rust resistant depending on humidity, proximity to leather and other moisture containing materials. Rennaisance Wax is a very good long time product as it protects, dries hard and works. -Dick
