I just got a couple case yellow delrin cv peanuts in the mail today. All the peanut talk on this forum finally broke me and I folded and purchased one (2 actually) to try out. As I just got them and haven't really had a chance to play around with the one I'm carrying yet, I don't have too much to say, except i can see why such a small knife can do some man sized cuttin'. When I get a chance to use it, I'll post back. :)

By the way, today was a good day for a knife guy. I did a lot of cutting (tar paper and tape mostly) and the only blade I used was the small one on my Victorinox Recruit. It was fun. :)

I just got a couple case yellow delrin cv peanuts in the mail today.

Congrats! Great knives for sure. Were they newly made peanuts, or older ones? If new, tell us a bit about the fit and finish and edge.

These are new case peanuts. The fit and finish for one of them was spotless, but there was no snap to either blade and they were tight to open. The second one had a little more snap, but had some rust forming on the spine of both blades. It too is a little tight to open. I am sure it will loosen up with time, as this one is going to be used first.

The edge on both blades of both knives were not very sharp and the grinds seemed to be uneven. I don't really mind, as I plan on using them, and I'll sharpen them at the angle I like anyhow. Overall, I got them because I was curious to see how a small knife performs for day to day cutting. I have always carried medium sized folders because the cutting chores I encountered were the type found on fishing boats, rope, strapping, net etc.

One of these peanuts went into my pocket last night, and I am looking forward to putting it to use :)

Be hapy w/ your new knife/knives. Put YOUR edge on them and use the heck out of em. :D Great little knives that you can pass down to your future generation.

Those peanuts sure grow on you, I've got a couple and even though I think they are a little too small for my taste, they still seem to find their way into my pocket, guess it is because they are small.

I always find the little pen blade is hard to open on both my peanuts.
I think it's the design, big spring little blade.

My Case peanut snaps open with authority at both the half stop and fully open positions. I don't know if that is important for function, but I find it satisfying. My bevels were a bit uneven, but so what - it still cuts well. I wish it were CV instead of stainless though.

Peanuts are solid performers and have done a lot of work for me. The yellow handled with cv is my favorite, have fun with yours! joe
