Hi folks,

So I was perusing the site of a well known vendor tonight and I happened upon this:

I knew Case makes or has made knives using orange, red and black G-10, but the is the first yellow G-10 knife I have seen of theirs. I have a couple in orange and I really love them. They are a nice marriage of old and new world elements and there is absolutely no missing a safety orange G-10 knife on the ground in the woods.

I'm wondering if the Traditional Forum braintrust could sound off on this one for me. I would really love to know more. Are there other models that were made using yellow G-10? Your comments are greatly appreciated.

Not bad at all. I like the Case G-10 knives (have a bunch in orange & a few of the red Ruger models).

I'd absolutely LOVE to see the yellow (& orange & red & black) G10 on the sodbusters. A large soddie w/G10 and CV might be as close to perfect as I could imagine. Stainless ain't so bad, either. ;)

Nice knife. I was not aware of Case using yellow G-10, but I like it and would love to see others using that material. A pocket hunter in this would be awful neat.

I vaguely recall some yellow G10 John Deere knives, but I don't know if I've ever seen regular run yellow G10. SFO maybe? I like it, anyway! I collect yellow Cases, so my interest is piqued!

Upon seeing this thread, I Googled on the subject, and saw a reference to a 10318 pattern stockman w/yellow G-10 scales & scrolled bolsters (and a serrated sheepsfoot). The reference mentioned it was an SFO for Shepherd Hills in/around 2006, I think. Maybe this was part of that order?

I think I found the same page you may have seen with the yellow stockman. The description indicates that it was a very limited run of 100 pieces for a well known Case dealer.

The knife I found in the first post was from another dealer altogether. This makes me think they may be unrelated, but anything is possible. By the way, it is a Mid Folding Hunter CA6221. If anyone is curious where I found it, feel free to send me a PM.

In any case, I really hope Case introduces this scale material over a greater variety of models. It's a nice twist on the familiar yeller scales and probably a bit nicer. I have a couple orange G-10 models and I'm looking for more. I love them!

I wish they did more in G10. My favorite Case is this Mako with red G10 handles.
