Casino or Ganzaa?

I like to go to the Casino once or twice a year and can't help shaking the feeling that this last Ganza had the same feeling as if I went to a casino.

1. There was a lot of excitement with the randomness of whether I would score or not.

2. The "house" always wins

3. There's always someone who knows how to play the game better than I do.

4. It was fun while it lasted

5. I spent way more money than I should have

6. I have to explain to my wife what happened

The big differences between the two?

1. At least with the Ganzaa I have something to show for it (awesome knives)

2. I know what to expect from the Casino games. . . . . unlike the 3 minute Dog advantage

Sooooo.... Which is better? Any thoughts

100% the Ganza.... I went to the casino during the ganza sale, now i get to look at what i could have picked up

LOL! My wife said the same thing - that the Ganzaa (as she helped with refreshing on her PC; she has no interest in knives but loves to gamble) was like Turning Stone (a Casino about 90 minutes away)!

Any time you are guaranteed to have something of tangible value to show for your spent money you are still ahead, regardless of the game. ;)

The odds are better in the Ganza too - you have to play again to fully realize that :D

Ganza by far!

I hat loosing money! And, with Busse you don't loose. You get a sweet knife, and it will last beyond your own life. You can pass it down to your kids and grandkids.

If you really get in a pinch, you can probably sell it for what you got in to it.

Say that about a night gambling!

You're kidding right!?!
...Have spent a lot (too much) time in Vegas; for business and fun, and have very seldom walked away from either having enjoyed the experience... GO GANZAAA my friend! ...And have something to show for it--besides an empty wallet, a bad hang-over and possibly hers & hers tats and a wedding ring in the morning!

Well, the way I see it......... ok ok, my perspective is a little different then some people because I've lived in Las Vegas for the last 10 years and I haven't gambled for about 6 years straight now--not a penny. I really loved gambling but I never had a problem with it taking over my life. -I just enjoyed the good time and of course I always tried to win a little money or alot. Throughout my gambling career, I've only lost a little over $5000 over a 5 year stretch(I visited Vegas a couple of time b4 I moved here and yes I did keep track of my winnings and losses). I guess something clicked in my head and I realized, as I understood more and more about what the casinos are doing and how powerful it is, that in the casinos, when you lose, you lose and when you win, you lose even more. The imprints that have been left on my subconscious mind from winnings are still with me to this day and they probably always will be. Because of the times that I got lucky and actually won, I still think about going and gambling and maybe winning a bunch of money-but now a days, logic takes over and I just don't see any value in it, even if I have a good time because I realize that the sale for the casino isn't in the casino, it's in our own minds. The casinos hire some very smart people to constantly improve this ingenious mouse trap.

Now in a Ganza, as I've recently learned, when you lose, you win and when you win, you win cause either way, you'll always end up with something-either an awesome blade or money still in the bank. Another solid vote for the Ganza.

your allways a winner at the Ganza, and if not a penny saved is a penny earned,,

think of all the infi you could buy if you doubled your money in vegas baby!!!!!!

just kidding. no way i would'nt go for the ganzaa. :)

Hey, I'm 90 mins away from there too. Where are you? Mohegan Sun in PA is better. You can drink there.

I prefer the Ganzaaa, personally.

If you lose, you keep your money. If you win, you get knives that will, generally, never drop in value.

Win/win really.

I will gamble a little bit when I am in Vegas, but I find no real pleasure in it. Thankfully, my wife enjoys it even less.

I'm going out there again the end of this month for an expo. Id love to play some cards, but I'll be damned if I am throwing down 20 bucks a hand.

Jackman you are right outside of Tioga Downs!

Ya, but Tioga downs sucks. I hate slot machines and that is all they have. we go to Mohegan Sun near Scranton, PA. It's all about craps. best odds in the casino. We pool our money and play together. That way you get enough to ride the swings. We've made some serious loot there.

Went one time and my buddy rolled for 45 minutes before we got a 7. made like a grand. people at the table were betting big though and they made a fortune.

If you haven't played craps, learn it then try. It can be fantastic.

Oh and you can drink at Mohegan too.
