Hi folks, this seems like the right place to ask this question - lemme know if it ain't. What experience has anyone had with the No. 3 Dangler from Casstrom? I use homemade paracord danglers at the moment, and these look a little snazzier. Does the carabiner unclip really easily? I have visions of an errant branch flipping it open and me losing a relatively expensive hunk of sharpened steel without even knowing it.

I don't have any direct experience with those, but I would guess it's pretty secure. It looks like it's designed so the gate opens from the top which would work to keep the sheath from easily coming off. And the gate clearance looks pretty small. Most likely scenario would be for the sheath and the carabiner to come off together, which the weight of the knife, etc. would make very unlikely. A tie like in the companies pictures would eliminate that problem.
