Same old formulaic television, what a yawn. They are looking for ''quirky charactors and big personalities''. It's the same horse ...t with metal detecting shows. Television doesn't care about the honest essence of a hobby\interest. It wants sensationalism and stupidly dangerous scenarios to bring in a wider audience. Almost every metal detecting show currently on air is a crock with planted finds etc. Hard core detectorists on web sites know this. It is just as hard to pick wheat from the chaff with ''outdoor'' shows. Oh wait a minute, there's always Bear Grylls................................
