I'm filling a couple holes on a textured surface with epoxy.
I need a small square of plywood with a rubber material
to make my pattern. I'll be putting it over the hole and injecting epoxy from below.
What I need is a source of the molding rubber.
Long time ago I got some fron an art store that was used for plaster
casting of picture frames. Store is gone. As is my memory. I guess it would be latex in a small quantity package that i need.

Plaster cast materials are made of silicone rubber as far as I know. There are many different types of silicone ,in fact as I think of it dentists use it too.

Thank you feth
Nice stuff
I see a few other items I can use as well as a ton of information

Hope the site helped. Be warned. Some of their products have a brutal smell to them. Worse then a lot of epoxies that I have used. Open window and a fan at a minimum. I think that I saw stars for a week after the first time I used it and not in that good way:)

There are a few products you might look into
One is an alginate called Imagel. It is the same stuff the dentist uses when they take impressions of your mouth except it isn't sterile, (or as expensive) Last time I bought it, (few years ago), it cost around $8 for a one pound container. You mix it with luke warm water and it sets up in about 5 minutes. I dont know how well it works with epoxy however. Check art stores or craft stores. or look up alginate in the phone book.

Another alternative is RTV, (room tempature vulcanizing), Rubber mold making compound. Model makers use this material to cast parts from polyester resin. It makes a flexable reuseable rubber mold. Some hobby stores might carry this. There is a modeling supply company called Micromark that sells it in a small quantity that will make 3 or 4 molds. http://www.micromark.com/
