Castle Gorka

:
I absolutely love the old historic buidings of other centuries and other places!
I once thought one time when I was given 5 years to live back in '84 that I had seen and done everything I wanted to do or see. How mistaken I was!!!
I am still in awe when we get to Pennsylvania and all the history there. Did you know that Pennsylvania means Penn's Wood's?
William Penn was one of the good guys when it came to his views of the ndn peoples.

And there are places here on Turtle Island that have just as much meaning to my people that are even older, kinda like the Stonehenge of the West. What's kinda funny is that most non-ndns don't know it even when they are standing in the sites center.

Uh, no, actually it was the David in England. The guy who put up the thread "Ghorka 101".
And someone else, whom I can't remember off- hand told me about the "Winged Horsemen" of Poland, and if you go to the link above and click on the return to index button, the index has something on them. And I figured Harry'd be interested too.

And Yvsa, did you know that Transylvania means "the land beyond the forest"?

Yvsa,

Earlier this year I visited one of the great mounds by Heath, Ohio. The great circle encloses about 40 acres. Definately a powerful place.

Orthodox historians seem to know little of the people that built it, or their reasons.

I LOVE IT RUSTY ! THIS HINGES ON ONE OF MY PASSIONS. THANK YOU JERRY

One of the things I love about this forum. Someone, somewhere, is either interested, or happens to know something on everything.

A tool is, basically, an object that enables you to take advantage of the laws of physics and mechanics in such a way that you can seriously injure yourself.

Howard you are one of the rare few who "know" how to "listen" and I am proud to have met you in person and to shake your hand and truly call you friend and the same goes for Janet as well!!!!

So does this mean I'm not really a Nepali after all?

It's tough being a Polack sometimes...

Wow! That is a cool coincidence! Beautiful site, too, I just had to follow the links. Still, it passed a night when the pages were getting really frustratingly slow to load and posting was impossible. Guess what? When I saw the page, this was the first thread I opened! Brilliant deduction...

Hey Yvsa, I once lived in a little village in Southern England called Penn Wood. There were lots of connection to the Mayflower people round there. I never caught the connection though... Thanks!
