Hi folks,

I've been anxiously waiting for a couple of years for Joe Caswell to finalize vendors and production on his EDX folder. He debuted it in 2010 and it has been a lonnnng path for him to deliver.

Here's the original thread with the data and plenty of technical info: Caswell EDX

Joe has responded to my original 'on the list' query every time I've sent a note, and has been communicative in every regard.

I got a note a month ago: "I'm finishing up the first batch. #14: It's yours if you still want it." Yes, I do. :D

I don't do this often, but every so often I actually turn on a video camera. (This one from my Samsung cell phone on a tripod!) :p I kept it close to my one-minute attention span limit.

Joe's package included a clear pamphlet describing his VERY unique pivot system, and a nice sock-type pouch.

The finish on the components is especially smooth and well done. It's got a walnut (?) tumbled frame and similar blade finish. Dead solid action upon opening and closing. It's powerful upon close and requires you to get your fingers out of the way smartly, IF you do this one-handed.

I'm real pleased with the communication, the build, the design, and the action. ALL of that is important.

Thank you!

Nice to see that out finally. Joe has come up with a couple of really cool pocket clip designs.

Very good company indeed..............my numbers are: '15P 007', '1SE 007' and snagged '1SE 001' just for good riddance. ;)

GREAT pictures my friend and the wait was well worth it, to say the least.

Joe is one of the most reachable and personable folks in the knife industry, let alone one of the most innovative.

It is like actually find a Unicorn!

Very nice what a pleasure to own

Thank you, Jim! You will enjoy this one.
It's one of the best folder designs EVER.

I've always been fascinated by this knife with its retractable pocket clip. I wish I could afford one. Does anyone know how much they are?

Awesome pics!
Also managed to get on the list long ago and anxiously awaiting mine.
And,indeed,I've had very good experiences in the communications department with Mr Caswell!
Seems like a great guy and innovative,to say the least.
Inventing a totally new locking- and pivot system, impressive indeed.

And then ofcourse, there's something dead-sexy about the design of the EDX!!!
