I just got some Catch-A-Bubble bubble stuff, made by Spin Master Toys, for about $4 per bottle. This stuff is COOL! It is like the regular stuff that you use for blowing bubbles, except that these bubbles harden upon contact with the air (not truly hard--softer than a bubble gum bubble). The result is that you get bubbles which don't quickly pop. The bubbles can last for hours. When the air is still, you can get bubbles floating around you for several minutes before they blow away. They can also land on things without popping. They really allow you to get a good look at reflections, and at the QED properties of light hitting the bubble surfaces. They also allow for an eye-opening view of the air turbulence around you. And they're just-plain fun!

By the way, the smell and feel of this bubble stuff makes me think that the secret ingredient is white glue. Tell me what you think.

Damn, I wish I had time to blow bubbles again! Growing up and being mature really sucks. I wish I was a kid again. :(

Wonder if it is safe for pets? Dogs and cats love chasing bubbles. I even have some stuff with catnip in it.

Clay,

The packaging says that it is non-toxic, but tastes bad. So, I'm guessing that it's probably safe for pets. However, there are lots of things which are okay for people and toxic for pets (chocolate, beer, aspirin, etc.), so I wouldn't risk it without having specific knowledge that it's safe.

I think I saw that for 2.97 at walmart if anyone is interested.

[edit] i went and got a bottle. this is actually really cool stuff. If you catch em on your hand and they pop, it makes this spiderweb like matierial(sticky and stringy) which if your rub your hands together it balls up and then disappears. It is also 100% disolvable in water.

The cat was mildly amused at first, but after she bit one, the taste made her shake her head and run off.

I blew about 100 of em onto the floor in the rec room last night. they are still there. The ones that popped left spots all over the pool table cover, but if you take a damp cloth it comes off with no effort ay all. Still probably better to use it outdoors just because it isn't too much fun washing off 100 spots.
