It is a real USA 103 IMO. I'll add a picture of the tang stamp side.
The first picture was the pile side, that is why no tang stamp shown.
The error is on Buck's label, "Made in Taiwan".

Can you verify the barcode? Anyone can print a label. I'm at a loss for words if Buck actually put that label on one of their boxes.

conspiracy theory time...the new s&w president is planning on having more model knives made in Taiwan and a box got sent out early by mistake........

joking......

jokes aside.......mistake in digital file used to print sticker, or if made in preprinted rolls somewhere else........ printing mistake on sticker? didn't get caught.... got used back in 2004 as date says on the sticker? making that up have no idear how, what, when. why, etc.....

I was thinking that but then thought who would print made location for the labels on the labels.....would be super confusing.....wouldn't it....
