Catching wave??

At the recent NY Show Ernie related to me of the waved CQC7. I was curious and inquired as to if the wave would intefere with the draw should one decided to carry it tip down. Indeed would it likewise intefere with returning it to the pocket. Any experience here thus far? Please, no debates on tip up vs. tip down carry. Thank you.

You can switch the clip to a "tip down" carry, but that will negate the "wave" feature.

Thank you John. I am aware of that. If any member here has a waved CQC7, please try to post your experience with a tip down carry mode. Ernie himself stated that he had no experience with this mode of carry.

That should tell you a lot. Looking at my Waved CQC-7, it looks like the only problems you may have with tip-down carry might be when putting the knife into your pocket or waistband. The Wave may catch and semi-deploy the blade in your pants. Not a pleasant situation if one opts for IWB-carry...
