Cattaraugus WWII Folding Machete Review

Hey folks, I know there had been some prior threads discussing this piece. Also, there were opinions that being a folder, it would lessen the integrity of the machete. We find this Cattaraugus blade to be substantial for survival and general bushcrafting, camping use. My long term concern would be the plastic scales, because of the age. I think that folding machetes would likely suffer in the long term (as in years of use) but those things were built pretty dang tough and people worry way too much. Thanks for the post.
 
That is a awesome piece of history!! Glad to see its not just sitting in a safe and still getting some use!
