It was decent. -Not award winning I don't think but very entertaining. There were some pretty great action scenes. Will Smith did use a Kershaw Tanto Blur to cut himself out of a snare. (just saw the other thread on this movie- ) Overall I'd recommend seeing it.
I can't believe nobody else recognized it.

I cringed when he landed on his knife and the blade broke off in his leg. I don't think it was a tanto blade, though. I thought it looked more like a spearpoint.

that blur tanto is an odd shape- it's a drop point on top with a tanto point under it. I had the knife and used my belt sander to get ride of that square edge on the bottom to make it a spear point.

I'll have to watch again. I thought it was an auto stryker. I must be losing my touch. :D

I thought it was a Benchmade 9100SBT myself

I'm fairly certain it was a Benchmade Auto Stryker. It definitely looked like he pushed a button or whatever on the side of the handle, and did not push a thumb stud, so I doubt it was a Speedsafe as some claim.

caught it last night. great performance by Smith, i'd go with an Oscar nod. rest of the movie was ok. very much -not- the book, as usual.

i'll go with Auto Stryker as well.

spoilage below:

hated the 'rubbery' CGI zombie/vamps. they all looked like 'The Mummy'.

cried like a 'friken baby when the dog died. no seriously, a full on sobfest. i love dogs.

the 'room to room' in the dark building by weaponlight was some awesome cinematography.

I'll put some screen caps up of the knife in the movie so you guys can figure out what it is.

I liked the movie OK, but the computer generated bogies weren't real enough. I'm a big fan of Wil Smith and he was great as usual. I'm not sure what model, but it looked like a Benchmade auto.

Does anyone really know?

here is the best shot I could get. I watched in slowmo when he fired it and it definitely looks like he uses his thumb hit a button.

I tried to lighten up your shot a little, morrowj_98. Looks like a Case peanut to me. :D

It looks like the Kershaw Tanto Blur. (drop point with the tanto underneath) It would make sense to have a benchmade as everything he used in the movie was standard military issue. But I can also see someone going -Wait I need a knife for this shot and someone running out to wallyworld or wherever to find the most tactical looking knife they could find. again IMHO.

It was an auto....couldn't be a Kershaw.
