I recently sold off some of my non-CRK knife collection just to get prepared for some bigger knife purchases coming up down the road. Well my knife fund dried right up with the purchase of these two. Now I need to find something else that I'm willing to part with!

The micarta just fell into my lap because it was just too good of a deal to pass up. I had never owned a micarta before, but this is one great knife.

The annual on the other hand, I place full responsibility on a fellow member here. He came over for dinner with his wife a week or so ago and when we hang out, we always show off our new knives. Well he had this same small 2011 annual in righty and I just really liked it. I knew of where the lefty was posted up for sale but hadn't been interested previously because I prefer Lg Sebenzas. After checking out his knife in person, I knew I had to pick up the lefty. It's my first annual and I'm really digging it. I carry it in pocket inside a CRK sheath. It really is a rare knife and I was lucky to grab it. There were only a couple of these made in lefty if I recall correctly. It's great to have a fellow CRK nut local to me and it's cool to be able to talk knives in person rather that through the computer. Maybe he'll post up a pic of his when he gets the chance. Anybody else know a real life "knife guy" (or gal) besides yourself, or are you all alone in your addiction?

I like the inlay on the annual, I've never seen it like that. Are the annuals always the one slab or is yours unique?

My brother got me into knives so we show and tell regularly. Don't have anything quite this nice though.

Yes, the annuals had one front inlay instead of two. Many of us CRK fans are hoping that at some point in the future they either reinstate the annual based on the 25 or offer the 25 with inlays. And in either case many are hoping that they use one piece inlays. With the 25's big flat surface and absence of a "positioning hole" it's just begging for a one piece!

Before that, however, I'm hoping for it's introduction in lefty;)

Glad to help James! I will post a pic of mine when I get home. It is great to be able to talk face to face and show off our collection to someone who appreciates them!!
I am hoping also for that one piece inlay for the 25, I am going broke buying annuals because I don't care for the split inlay nearly as much.

The micarta is really nice but the annual is just precious! The single inlay really dresses up a normally industrial stout looking knife!

Sweet CRK's!!! I'm the only one that i know of in my area who will spend more then a couple hundred on a knife. Sure i know knife people locally but most cant afford this hobby. So for now all i have is my internet palls.

Great set of knives, thanks for sharing.
Nice to have a fellow knife nut local, absolutely! Expensive too ;)

I wouldn't even have known what a Sebenza was if it wasn't for my very good friend, Blackend here on the forum. Thanks to him I'm broke, great guy though.

We're going to have to start calling you "annual man" if you keep it up.

Thanks, yea I'm loving this knife. Can't put it down.

Thanks. Yea, even if they can't afford it they likely still appreciate them, which is cool. I had a buddy at my last job that would never spend more than 75$ on a knife, and he only needed one. But man did he love to see the crazy knives I'd bring into work.

You're right about that, I wouldn't have bought that annual if I hadn't seen it person.
