Is anyone out there making good repros of Civil War era cavalry sabers? Users? Someone tell me quick, I'm tempted to put an edge on my original. Well, not really but I'd still like to have one with an edge.

I have the Ames Model-1862 Light Cavalry Saber bought from http://www.amessword.com/ its so far the best reproduction cav saber that I have held or seen... from what Ames sword comp told me it is made off orignal molds...the blade is stamped on the right side
U.S
ADK 1862
and on the left side

Hi
although a little earlier than the Civil War,Cold Steel make an excellent replica of a Light Cavalry sabre.Sharp out of the box and easy to make a lot sharper.I have handled this weapon it is good value for the money.Bought the Scottish Basket Hilt more my style.

Thanks guys. I'm gonna look around more but I'll probably end up buying one of the Ames repros.
