cave diving

Thanks, I set it for DVR.

I've only made a limited penetration cave dive. It was interesting but I'd need a lot more training and gear to safely do anything serious. The former President of the California Wreck Divers belongs to an outdoor club with me and some of their wreck divers also do caves.

If you make a mistake on a wreck or cave dive, it can become serious pretty easily. One of my other pals helped haul two bodies out of the wreck of Prinz Eugen many years ago.

I'm a diver myself but this is one kind of dive I'm not looking forward.

I'm a caver (NSS). An OLD caver ... mostly unhurt, uninjured.

The only thing I won't do? Cave dive.

Cave diving accidents are, by and large, fatal. Think twice or three times before doing this.

I love caves and I love visiting, but I insist on going home when the visit is over.:o

[In the dim past, I did some volunteer cave rescue work out West. Bringing out the drowned ... NOT a pleasant experience.]

I've gone cave diving only once and it was enough to make it last my lifetime!
Now I will only do limited wreck penetrations and it has to be with a small group.
Too many people and me in a tight quarter and I panic!

Pretty interesting show. When they find the remains of a diver from many years ago, it certainly drives home the safety issue!
