After reading just about every post in this particular forum I had to put together my own T-hawk project. I decided on using Craig Barr's 52100 heads but had to lose a few bids before I finally snagged a hammer pole and then a spike hawk. A call to House Handles and my hafts were on the way. I used Birchwood Casey's cold blue then 00 steel wool on the heads. Then I burned the hafts and mixed 1 part mahogany with 5 parts clear polyurethane and applied 3 coats over the last few days. I was hoping to take some pictures outside but haven't seen the sun for 2 days so had to use the flash indoors because I wanted to show them off. I also wanted a couple 22" hafts but could only find that length for CS heads and they're thicker than I need so I'll have to take them down. Hope you enjoy the pics.

I'm gonna try them out tomorrow. It's supposed to maybe reach 50 degrees.

Sweet axes. I watch those come and go on Ebay, someday I'll pull the trigger and getone of my own. The work you did on the hafts really complements the Barr head.

After hundreds of throws and 3 sets of handles, they're still looking good. Probably outlast me!

A man after my own heart. Make something beautiful then take it out and use it. Right on!
