I'm right on the edge of pulling the trigger on a Manix 2, but I'm still wondering about how well the lock deals with dirt, dust, and lint. How clog prone is it, and how difficult is it to clean out if you don't take the knife apart?

It's easy to clean and i haven't had any problems with debris interfering with the lock.

Are you familiar with the Benchmade Axis lock? Cleaning and performance are very similar.

Thanks for the info. I have played with a few axis lock knives but don't own any yet. Would cleaning just require compressed air?

I have a manix2 and I planned on using a nice light blast of compressed air to clean out the spring when I need too (mine gets carried while hunting, so it gets dirty). Havn't actually had to yet tho .
