Greetings all. What steel is the CC blade made from, A2? I recently received a brushed finish one (non- clip model)and am concerned about corrosion setting in when carried a lot. I have treated it with Tuff cloth but would like to know if the black finished model is more corrosion resisitant. Thanks.

Nakano,

The CC Blade is made of A2 Steel and the black version is more resistant. However, since you are taking care of it with a TuffCloth, you should have no real problems, just watch it and see how long the residue lasts with the CCB rubbing against the interior of the wallet, etc...

I carried the CCB, black version, accidentally into the Atlantic ocean a couple of months ago. Well, let's say I 'slipped' into the water

An hour later, I was able to rinse out the blade with fresh water. No rust, no problem. I should also say that I treated the CCB with a Tuf-Cloth once about a week before that.

I also sweat a lot, I mean, a hellava lot! I carry the CCB daily, and have had no problems. My social life, though, does have a couple of problems, but that's for another forum
