I really like my Compact Combat/Survival that I bought from John over 2 years ago but many times when out for a day hike, I would tend to grab one of my larger blades for the outing. I told John about this and he agreed to make a larger version in the same style, a true Combat/Survival knife. The similarities are that both are 3/16" O1 steel and both have green canvas micarta scales. Also both are wearing Apocalyptic Survivor belt sheaths made by Noah of Wasteland Leatherwork. Differences are OAL of 8" to 9.75", blades of 3.75" to 5", and I opted for solid pins over hollow as it's easier to clean.
I haven't field tested the new addition yet but look forward to carrying it afield this year and will be posting more pics at that time. Since it is a JK, I doubt there will be any disappointments.

Cool!

I like the way the olive micarta burnished in from use.

Did Noah make you a sheath recently?

I have one from him and it is really nice, as are yours.

Congrats on the C/S and thanks for the pics -
