What kind of techniques do you guys practice with your Credit Card Blades? Do you specifically train with the BG taking the wallet from your hand as you retain the CCB, or do you just draw the CCB out of your back pocket? How about with the money clip? Do any of you clip the CCB anywhere else besides the wallet/money clip?

I like to practice a distraction strike(face smash to the eyes, ax hand to the throat, etc.) as I draw the CCB from my back pocket, and then, holding my arm straight, strike in a loose swinging action to the BG's head/neck area.

Anybody else?

I agree. The fact that a robber may unintentionally unsheath the credit card blade when he/she takes the wallet is a neat added feature but I wouldn't want to take that risk or bank on that one opportunity. The one I have has a clip on it and I let it clip to my pocket holding my wallet in place when it is in my back pocket.

In my opnion, it is better to pretend that you're getting your wallet out, throwing your distraction and drawing the CC blade.

Secure grip and such was an issue when I had a CC.

If you'll allow some imagination, I think the CC could come in handy in a say a hostage or kidnap situation. Perhaps a concealed to cut off bindings.

I seem to remember one of the early Steven Seagal flicks where he pulls out a credit card, presses some sort of button or something, and a small blade pops out. He then proceeds to kill all the bad guys with his credit card knife! Another flick with a credit card as a weapon that I remember has Burt Reynolds in it as some sort of bounty hunter or something like that, and he breaks a credit card in half and uses that to slice some bad guys neck!

The thing about JSP's CCB is that, unless you're like one of us, you have NO idea what it is until it's too late. When I showed it to my training buddy, he actually asked me what it was! Try slashing some wet newspaper or cardboard with it during your next training session, and you'll freak out at how much damage this little sucker does! Another great thing is you can use just about any other credit card as a training blade. I use the keycard they give me at work...of course you don't have the clip, but you can go through the motions...

Now all I need to do is actually fill the wallet with some cash!
