I saw Wally World has it pretty cheap. I was thinking of getting some .40 and .45. Any experience with this? I've never shot CCI ammo before.

Whoa, am I ever out of the loop! All the Blazer ammo I have ever bought was aluminum cased. I actually liked it a lot, especially the .44 Mag medium velocity 200gr JHP they made once upon a time. It would just cycle my Desert Eagle, but it wouldn't lock the slide back on the last round. Rapid fire with a .44 Mag without ever losing the sight picture :D

i havent had bad luck with the aluminum blazer myself, i have used a lot in 9MM, only practice of course, i dont think its too bad as long as its cheap, a lot of folks dont like it though. sure is "dirty" though.........

i have not used any brass blazer myself, as long as its cheap i dont know it would be so bad, for practice, anyway.

the CCI/speer gold dot is 1 of the 3 best for handguns imho, gold dot, winchester ranger, and remington golden sabre is the top of the heap imho, not neccesarily in that order.

The Aluminum Blazer was a good plinking round for the Colt .357 -- but it actually caused the revolver I was using to jam. Cylinder froze up and would not rotate or open. After about 15 minutes I was finally able to open it up. I think the primer backed out of one of the spent cases.

I've always enjoyed using CCI ammo in a variety of calibers, though I do understand that some people have experienced some problems using the aluminum cased Blazers in some guns.

It gets the job done, although it is pretty dirty. Not as dirty as Winchester White Box. I buy it when it's cheap and haven't had any trouble.

I've shot a ton of it both in aluminum and brass, mostly in 9mm.

It is fine ammo, I've never had any problem with it except that my 9mm CZ75SA would not extract the aluminum cases reliably. All of my other pistols eat it like candy.

It is clean, accurate, and reliable, which is certainly more than I can say for either S&B or WW White Box ammo.

I think the original quesiton was about the CCI Brass ammo though..

I've shot a bunch of it in 9mm. It's as good as any other cheap FMJ range round. Can't say I noticed any specific difference in the CCI Brass and Winchest White..

CCI brass-cased stuff has worked fine for me multiple times. Just as good as UMC, PMC, or Win. white-box stuff IMHO. YMMV....

CCI brass cased ammo is quite good. I've shot a lot of it and used the brass in reloading, no problems.

I will no longer buy WW white box. In the past three months, I have seen one box of Winchester that actually had two bullets in a box of loaded ammo, rolling around loose. One of the bullets was deformed as if it had been crushed. Why they were in the box of loaded ammo and how they got there is beyond me, but implies much.

I also had one box of 9mm white box in which two rounds failed to fire. I looked at the primers and there was no mark on them. I ran them back through the weapon, same thing.

The problem was the length of the case. When they were fed into the chamber, the case was so short that the firing pin could not contact the primer!

I've not had any such problems with Blazer ammo.

I've never had a problem with their 45acp fmj, but have not tried anything else from them. Probably used around 1500 rounds of them so far and they have all been fine so I'll keep using them (along with good JHPs) during target practice.

I've never had a problem with Blazer Brass or Aluminum in 9mm with my Glock. Always functions perfectly (but it is a Glock) and is plenty accurate. I don't care much about how dirty ammo is, but it seems cleaner than WWB.

Actually, Blazer is my favorite budget practice ammo for my Glock.

Bought a case of Blazer Brass in .45 at a gun show several months ago for $200. I have shot about 600 rounds through a Colt Combat Commander and a S&W 1911PD with good results. I find it as good as any other practice ammo.
