I used to use clonecd, but my computer crashed and I didn't have a backup copy.

Anyway I'm looking for some software to copy cds. Any recommendations?

If you are using XP its built into it. Will only work on security free disks though. Just right click the the thing you want to copy and select send to > "your cd burner" has to be a cd though, it won't work with DVD's AFAIK.

tucows.com might have some free stuff, or a demo version will work if you only have a couple to copy.
NTI CD Maker usually has a good demo.

Somewhat related so I thought I'd post it here to save starting a thread. Any good software (i.e. free) for turning dvd movies/tv shows into files I can save and watch on my computer? .avi, xvid, divx etc. I hear "Toast" does this.

Most CD and DVD burners come with a disk of software to use, Nero and Adaptec being the most common. You can buy these individually or someone could perhaps send you an extra CD.

Lots of freeware available too. Someone recommended one that looked great a while back, but darned if I remember which one. NoNags and other honest freeware sites usually have a category just for CD burning programs:

If you're ripping to your computer instead of copying to another disk, Audiograbber is out there, ya just have to run it and Lame.exe to get an Mp3 file that will work on just about anything... Just Google Audiograbber and you'll find places to download it... it's freeware...
