In this website the Gurkhas are also referred to as Kirati-Mongolians, to identify them as a distinct race of Mongolians who inhabit the Nepalese Highlands. This distinction also proposes to negate the disinformation which is maliciously being spread to portray the Gurkhas as Rajputs who are alleged to have migrated into Nepal from India; true Rajputs enjoy a stronger claim to Indo-Saracenic ethnicity, whereas the Gurkhas are Mongolians and hence, remain outside brahminic fold.
