Last night my wife and daughter and I went to a friends house for some trick or treating for the kids. The wives took the kids out to haunt the neighborhood while the guys stayed at the house to hand out candy, splice the main brace, and do a little star gazing with the homeowner's 6 inch motor driven Newtonian telescope.

We got a pretty good look at the dust storm on Mars. One of the guys joked that it was caused by NASA doing all that 4-wheelin' up there. The treat of the night was the unexpected appearance of a large fireball that streaked across the sky, fragmented into 5 or 6 pieces, and continued on. Wow! What a show!

That was a good story and I love to watch the sky at night. The big dipper was always an interest to me and knew the first 3 stars of the handle were a comfort of what location I was in. Never having children of my own I was sitting next to my little nephew and he had the exact 3 stars behind an ear. God must speak in mysterious ways!:)
