I need a simple,tough,heavy duty way to wear a cell phone on my belt.Something like a Buck 110 sheath,with or without the top flap.

I don't want or need swivels,quick disconnects or the ability to clip it to my belt after I'm dressed.I have already destroyed all of the above.

I would prefer 100% heavy stitched leather,but I am open to suggestions.
I have a Motorola T730,a flip phone,but I want the whole phone to fit inside a holster,not a leather cover that unflips with the phone,I have already destroyed one phone walking throuh a doorway with it half-flipped.

Any ideas?Thanks.

I've got a cell phone holder from Spec Ops brand that works pretty well. It's not leather, it's nylon webbing, so it doesn't pad quite as well. I got mine from Brigade Quartermasters, but i think you can buy direct from the maker at www.specopsbrand.com.

My Maxpedition cell phone holder (size medium) just came in my PO box today and haven't had a chance to go and get it....I'll be getting it tomorrow and will repost to let you know what I think :)

mad cow, if you're at your wits' end, check out Witz Products. I've got a few of their boxes. Very strong, lightweight, but bulky. Also inexpensive -- try it, you might like it!

Go to Products and down to Phone Cases. (The Eyewear Cases are really great, too!)

If you could live without the phone for a week, I could make you one. Unfortunately the only phone I have here to use is a star-tac.
Maybe you could find a sheathmaker close to you.

I attempted to purchase a Maxpedition cell phone holder from BladeArt awhile back. They were out of stock at the time (Maxpedition) but they did suggest an alternative. Check out the DeSantis E-Z Draw. I use the small for my LG. Excellent fit and very secure.

I have to second the recommendation of the De Santis E-Z Draw. I too was trying to buy a Mazpedition from Blade Art and they were out and recommended the De Santis. The De Santis is awesome. Very well built and very secure. It provides good protection for the phone while keeping the phone very secure to whatever you puy it on. I have one of the small Nokia phones and the fit is perfect. The one I have is a size small.

I ordered my Maxpedition cell holster from www.tadgear.com

Just got it today...EXCELLENT build quality, VERY durable. I plan on attaching it to the vertical loops on my packs shoulder straps....much better than putting it in my pocket.

I got a Maxpedition M2 from TAD Gear. Had to wait for stock but it was worth it. I may get the cellphone holster too, for when I don't need to carry the extra gear the M2 is so great for.

Thanks All.
I just ordered the Spec Ops from Brigade Quartermasters;
The Maxpedition from TAD Gear;
The DeSantis from BladeArt.
They were all inexpensive and I have to be happy with one or all of them and one or all of them has to be tough enough even I can't break it.

The Witz phone box looks too big for daily carry but it looks perfect for canoeing,so I ordered it too.

Lifter,I liked your suggestion the best but I can't part with the phone for a week or so any time in the near future but past history tells me I will break this thing soon enough and I can send the busted one to you to make a holster for its replacement.

:) Thanks again.

Looks like I'm a little late :)

I like things that don't vanish from my belt like most things do, so I ended up with a Rip-Off case. Most of the police supply catalogs carry that line, and you can get a case to hold just about anything. They are pretty sturdy nylon with a velcro flap over the top, and a nice strong metal beltclip on the back that will never come undone. Get one for your cell phone, and another for the pepper spray! :) I've been using mine for a few years, got it for my StarTAC and it works for my T720, too. Never lost the phone while using it, unlike the Motorola clips or typical cell phone cases most consumer electronic stores sell.

Cellphone holster ? Airport security is now looking for cell phones that have been converted to pistols .They have been making these things in Croatia.

have a ripoff for my nokia and my wifes motorola and like it, the nite ize i did not like at all, too big/thick/bulky, defeats the purpose of a small phone imho, the rip off is good though

I second the Ripoff. Have one for my current phone and one that I currently use for my frs radio(originally bought it for the Nokia copy of a Startac). They have a very secure clip and resist wear extremely well. They could use a little more padding and buckle in place of the velcro, but I've used the current one for two years at work(maintenance department at local college) and never had a problem.

You could go to Lowes or another hardware store and get whatever brand it is they sell there. But their almost twice the size of the phone.:eek: They do a very good job of protectinf the phone though.
