Anyone know anything about the rugged use phones from verozon wireless? My wife is pretty rough on them, and thought this might be the answer.

Verizon has 2 on their website. I can't tell, and they don't say, what brand $100 gets you with a 2 year contract, $150 buys a Casio. I didn't even know Casio made cell phones!

That new Casio is Jack Bauer proof. $150 is a lot better that the original $450 introductory price.

Not enough cell phones are designed for rough duty and have simple features - not everbody needs all the eyewash rings and things when they just need a phone that will survive a fall or good dunking, will be abrasion proof, and have a decent run time on charges. Contractor grade will be nice when the makers wake up to it - yellow, black, or subdued (camo is for those who don't want to find their phone under their tree stand!)

The Verizon ones are a bit big. Fine for a purse, but too big for a pocket.
