I have a 710 and that I just picked up with a off center blade that rubs against the liners. I would like to save postage and shipping it back to Benchmade if there some tricks I can try.?????????????????

I have been able to center blades with other brands like Emerson and spyderco. Like loosening the grips screws and the pivot screw and then tighten the pivot down hard and then then tighten handle screws from the back forward. This seems to align the grips and liners properly..

With the knife closed.
I would losen all the screws including the clip screws
Now snug down on the pivot. Not real tight, just hand tight.
I then gently, but firmly, apply pressure to each side of the knife in opposite directions.
Left side up/right side down or Left side down/right side up; while at the same time seeing what combination gives you the desired results.
While holding the right effect, start tightening screws. If the tightening of one particular screw ruins the effect. Tighten this problem screw last.
Once all screws are tight, adjust pivot.

If this doesn't work, then replacing the back spacer with barrel spacers and repeating the above process probably will.

I tried to loosen the screws, center the blade, and then tighten on the same model knife, but it did not work for me. Hope it works for you but mine has been back at Benchmade for about four weeks now. Hope you have a better result than I did. This all said I am sorry about having to send the knife back but after all the Benchmade knives I have bought through the years this is the first real problem I have ever had. I will not stop buying the brand I believe, for me, they are still one of the best knives available.
Frank.

...and sometimes it doesn't work. Despite the accuracy of posts like Keyman's, I've had to send a few up for warranty repair. Nothing like having backups!
