Centering the blade on a ZT350

So I'm trying to get my blade centered on my newly ZT350CB. It's not quite rubbing the side of the non-locking liner. If I tighting up the pivot enough to get it centered the assisted opening doesn't work. Tried taking it apart and re-tightening all the screws with on luck.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

If youve taken it apart and its all clean then there's only one other thing that could help (that I know of). Once the knife is completely assembled, loosen all the hardware that holds it together, including the pivot. You want to do this with the blade open and the lock engaged. Then tighten down the pivot a good deal. Basically tighten it so that the blade wont move because theres so much tension on it from the pivot. Then tighten up all the rest of the hardware that holds the handle together. Loosen off the pivot to the point you like it at. A drop of lube around your pivot could definitely help in maintaining a smooth assist while having enough pivot tension to keep it centered/no play. Good luck, let me know how it goes.

My post was addressing phaedrus469 until I looked at the date! Hope this helps spinerazor.

I found an unorthodox, but effective solution to the off-center blade on my beloved Kershaw Lahar. It was almost touching the liner on one side, but still flipped open. I sent it to Kershaw, but it came back not much better. After adjusting and readjusting everything possible, I finally gave up. Last week I had a change of heart. I took it apart, removed the nylon washer on the side where the blade was almost touching, and replaced it with a slightly thicker metal washer that I modified by hand (expanded the opening with a round metal file, and smoothed the washer using my Sharpmaker white rods). I was hoping the thicker metal washer would push out against the blade just enough to shift it to the middle. After adding some graphite powder around the washers, I reassembled the knife and feared the worst. However, it worked beautifully--the blade is almost perfectly centered, there is no blade play, and the knife opens smoothly with the flipper and a bit of wrist action. While it does not fly open like it did before my fix, I would much rather have the centered blade. This may not work for your ZT, but I offer it on the off-chance that it might.

I use this for centering in my Millies but I'm not sure if this will work on a 0350. I Do have a few ZTs but not a 0350.

Tighten the pivot screw/nut tight, loosen the standoff screws about 2/3s of the way, fold a piece of paper or thin cardbard to use as a wedge, put the wedge between the
side of the blade you want to move and the insde of the liner. The wedge should be AS TIGHT as you can get it in. Tighten the standoff screws, take out the wedge,
and adjust the pivot.
This works on a Military but I'm not sure about a 0350.

I have the same problem with my 0350. and had the same problem with my previous 0350. The knife functions perfectly, its just a matter of aesthetics. I've tried several things taking the knife apart and cleaning it and trying to wedge it but nothing had worked for me previously. my 0350 I carry every day, is still off center
