Has anyone ever heard of a custom knife company called Centipede knives? About 2 yrs ago I saw a web page on these knives. They are amazing looking, almost like nothing else out there. I was wondering if they were really functional, or mostly for show. They are strange looking art blades. Really cool stuff.

That's it! Excellent research. Thank you for the information. They do seem more practical now than I remember, good materials. I wonder what kind of locks they have.

Those are quite . . . . interesting

Very nice stuff, anyone know what their pricing is like?? Affordable, or art knife, "this is an art knife, you WILL pay the price" ?

I think I'd like to have a of these in my collection, hell in my pocket, imagine trying to get something out of your pocket and fishing one of those out

your friends would be . . . quite intrigued to say the least!

Good stuff will look into it more! Someone needs to get the makers into this thread!

yuuuuck...

Very strange and extremely dubious descriptions. One blade was refered to as 'malignant'. And what the heck is a 'self-actuating' mechanism? An auto?

These do not appeal to me at all, the designs seemingly contrived and devoid of true purpose. But then I am a traditional sort.

I had talked to Scott before on the phone and they are quite expensive.

Another description, which is perfect, is "organic." Take a look at the one they call the Spawn, Paracelsus. If Alien had a knife, that's what it would be. Acquired taste, for sure, but pretty cool.

I think traditional wood/bone/steel knives look more 'organic'.

Please don't take my comments too seriously. I forgot to post this in my first post:

There is room for every sort of knife in the demented world of knife knuts. It is just that not every knife knut has to like every knife.

As a Sci Fi nut you would think this sort of thing might appeal, but it doesn't. Of course, there is no accounting for taste
