I am thinking to get my first Spyderco, and like the Centofante. However, the pocket clip is only on one side of the handle. Is the knife comfortable to be held even though the clip will be against the fingers instead of the palm? Thanks!

Let me clarify-my only knife with clip is Mini Barrage which for a year is used only few times and the clip is annoying to me. Probably I will remove the clip since I approach the knife as not a pocket folder. However, I intend to carry the Centofante, but it is too big to carry unclipped.

I am left-handed, but I normally carry 2-3 knives up to 3.3" (85-86mm) long in the bottom my righ-hand pocket. Quick deployment is my least concern. So, should I go ahead and buy the Centofante? M only concern is clip presses/ribs the fingers instead the palm. What is your experience. How much the variables such clip design, handle shape, sizes, and overall combination of these affect this? Are there many who are right-handed, but carry their knife in the left-hand pocket, because the knife would be an obstacle to reach many items rested in the right-hand pocket frequently reached troughout the day?

Obviously I am not experienced with pocket clips, and please help me to accomodate myself. Somebody will probably suggest to go with an ambidextruos knife, but the Centofante is the one I like based on specs and the look.

I personally think that most knives are actually more ergonomic feeling if I hold them in my left hand (I'm right handed) than the usual, because the clip bothers me less against my fingers rather than against my palm like they're designed to be, and like you're talking about. Almost all knives feel better without the clip to me, however the clip is just so handy that I put up with it.

Fingers are better for a clip than palm. You just have to open the knife upside-down.

But you get used to it.

Thanks for the responses, I ordered it. For a while I thought that maybe either Delica or Dragonfly would be better as an all-around knife, and they are, but I like the looks of Centofante, and I trust a knife with unchanged design and still in production for already twenty years. Not so many modern folders have such a longevity.
