Somneone asked me if i could replace some kraton inserts on a knife. I really didn't know if i could or not and i don't like to experiment on other people's knives so when i saw a used green centofante pop up in the for sale section for $50 i bought it. I was missing my grey one that i sold plus green is my favorite color:D. Long story short, it came yesterday and just finshed it. Green malachite was the choice for the new scale to somewhat match the old one and dress it up a lil bit. I stripped the paint of the rest of the knife and polished up the aluminium. The hard part was figuring out how to glue the malachite down because the screws that hold the knife together are below the insert. I figured it out though. here are a few pics of the knife torn down and with its new clothes. Sorry for the pics, the Mrs. stole my lamp for my light box because she needed it for some chemistry experiment she is teaching the kids today. ill try to get some better ones later.
