Central AC recharge input

I had a tech come and do the first health check of my AC. I've been diagnosed with a leak and the refrigerant will have to be recharged. The leak is supposed to be in the shrader valve so that will have to be replaced. He said i'm at about 15% coolant level and quoted me $375 to recharge, repair valve, labor. Has anybody here had something like this done recently and can comment? I will of course seek 1-2 more quotes but if he's in the ballpark i'm just going for it.

Thats not a real bad price from what I have seen lately, especially if it includes the freon

I just had the same done on mine, for $250 including freon last week.

Get some more quotes.

I might have gotten a break though, as the guy replaced the furnace and AC coil this past January, and we opted to wait for more cash for the valve and freon.
