Looking for a a shop that does custom cerakote. Ive tried getting a hold of REC multiple times w/ no reply. If anyone knows of a good shop id appreciate any suggestions 🙏thanks!

You have to keep after REC. Squeaky wheel gets the grease.
Lolol thanks man. I must have emailed them a good 4 or 5 times but if that's the case I'll keep goin👍

Did you have something done by them? If so I'd love to check it out. From what I've seen they do really good work.

What are you trying to coat? It doesn't hold up that great in my experience.

Are you using your knives pretty hard? I only keep a couple in rotation for work but that still kind of a bummer if it doesn't hold up. I'm going through an OD green/FDE obsession right now. I'd LOVE to turn one of my bugouts into fde blade and od 4green titanium Crossfade scales with matching hardware. Id also like to have a bunch of pocket clips I have to match the blade color on the combos I already have. My BM MINI ADAMAS (see pics) seams to be holding up really well and it's one that I use quite a bit in rotation and I don't have a scratch on it. I love that piece w the the awt od scales and matching Lynch clip.

I've also never seen anybody coat a custom sak so I might want to try that for the sake of science. I'm not sure if it matters weather or not I have an acid etch? I etched a bunch of mine. I think my bugout w/ the crossfades and green hardware I circled would make the best candidate.

This is what I'm shooting for .I also have some extra scales I might cote.ive got too much stuff. I accidently ordered 2 damn lil natives and both were "no return" items😒. does rec trade or take knives? I imagine getting stuff coated isn't cheap. It'd be nice to find some trade off but thanks for the input dude I appreciate it. This is exactly what I'm looking he for.

Not really. I was on a Cerakote kick a long time ago when I had the barrels of some hunting shotguns refinished with Cerakote. So I had a few knife pocket clips and framelocks coated also. The pocket clips were showing wear on the edges after a few months. The framelocks themselves also started to show wear along the edges. A drop here and there will also scuff it up.

I've had this since benchmade released this color way so it's been a while. Either I'm not using mine as much as you used yours OR it's a different type of coating formula.
