What is the black cerakote S30V blade on the 119 in the custom shop like. Sort of a black satin to march the satin S30V blade? Anyone have one they could describe or share a photo?

I was thinking a set with “white” and”black” S30V blades would be nice

Is it my understanding this coating makes the knife stronger? Anybody know if this is true?

Not stronger but more corrosion resistant and some say it helps to clean up better. The blades are plenty strong without coating. Some coatings like titanium nitride are hard but very thin coating that make them more wear resistant .
