Cerakoted handles = slippery???

For those who have Cerakoted Busses - specifically the complete Cerakote job wherein the entire thing, handle slabs included, are completely coated -

Are the handles on these knives slippery? When dry? When wet?

Just seems like it would ruin the tactile feedback and slight texture inherent in even hand-shaped Micarta, no?

Thanks, All!

I'm glad you asked, because I was wondering the same thing. I would guess the coated handles are relatively slippery, especially compared to textured canvas micarta.

Thanks gk4ever2 for not giving me an eye roll emoji or otherwise either laughing or shrugging the question off.

I tend to strip coated blades and hand-shape most handles, but I realize that the coating is really the entire point of such editions, so would not want to do that. If I ordered one and it proved itself too slippery for my taste I suppose I could sell her. However, to date I have never sold a Busse! I mean, why would I do such a thing? The thought literally never occurs to me. And that really says something (at least to me).

I, for one, wish they were coated separately. That way if you ever want to put new scales on, or rough up the existing scales for grip, the blade is still fully sealed/coated.

I have a couple Cerakoted Busses - an ancient bronze Cerakoted Fusion Battle Mistress and a camo Cerakoted Forsaken Battle Mistress. Neither one feels slippery to me but I have not used either one for anything of note. Just air slashing.

They feel like "normal" micarta to me.

Agree with leonardo. G10 is more slippery, than cerakoated micarta, not sure about cerakoated g10, tho I assume would be double slippery-er.

Great to hear, Chris, and quite interesting, too! I am once again reminded of what they say about assumptions, right?!

Ulf, thanks for weighing in on this with your thoughts. I hear you about the "double slippery-er" thing, but since it is a coating, I don't really think that what is underneath the coat should matter with respect to how the coating feels in hand. But maybe I am wrong. Also, possibly you jest?! :)
