I am looking for some ceramic bearings for a folder project. They seem more scarce than i thought. I have looked at a few sources but i would love to get some input from people who have used them.

Where do you get your bearings?

How is the quality and availability?

Any preference on cage material? (As of right now I can only find steel cages.) Does anyone know of any that use plastic cages like zt?

Any input is greatly appreciated. I am very excited to finally start on a locking folder soon. I want to select the best materials possible and do as much up front work and planning as possible to help reduce headaches and delays once i get started.

Ti connector also has 440c bearings but instead of having a hardened steel washer, they built it into itself

They also have caged ceramic washers

Thanks. I did check them out too. Im leaning towards a cage material other than steel. I think one of the benefits of ceramic is the corrosion resistance. I kind of think that the steel cages may negate that a bit. I cant find any with other cage materials other than the skif ones. He uses phospher bronze. I like that his are a larger diameter and have more individual bearings pressed in.
