A friend of mine sent me these ceramic rods, for edge touch up.He said the fella he got 'em from had a stag handled one
So it got me thinking & I whipped this up today, using a pronghorn spike from a road kil
I took this pic to show him,I thought you'd like to see It is in my left hand, unplanned,it came out with a natural angle to the right & it kinda felt good for use this way
Here it is :

I may do another for myself, with the other side of the "rack"

Thanks..The side of the rod (diameter) ,required that I use the "crown" side of the antler. But that makes for a guard & it worked out well.

Hey Vince neat idea.
Looks great!

Looks like you put one of Fuzzy's lanyards on there too.

Did you drill out the hole out by hand and a vise or do you have a press?
What, an inch down or so with some epoxy of Gorilla glue?

ADD,
I put the antler in a vise ,but not hard & I kinda assisted it w/my hand I had a pilot drilled not deep. Then I drilled by hand on the angle it needed to follow the antler, follow? I did this slowly,BTW
Then,I kept dry fitting it,I went about 3/4" I'd say & U can see one end of the rod had a steel section on it The otherside, covers it,its all angles Then I used liquid steel...Devcon Epoxy
The "Y" end of the pronghon I just hacksawed off beveled it a bit & ground it flat at the butt
Drilled a different sized hole at that end for the lanyard (yes, fuzzy's)
I did all of it before glueing it up,& dry fitted it of course
